The computer facility is equipped with ergonomic chairs and desks to
provide for a healthy and safe working environment. All computers/equipment
is connected to electrical outlets with power surge protectors. The
CDI equipment includes a printer, scanner, and video and digital cameras.

The CDI uses a gatekeeper software which prohibits students from visiting
inappropriate sites. The UCR Scotty link enables access to databases
on UC's MELVYL on-line library system. Substantively, this link provides
a natural link between teachers, students and parents participating
in the program.
The
Communities For Virtual Research maintains the CDI web site on the UCR
Server.
