PATHWAYS TO OUR FUTURE:
Youth as Multimedia Producers

PATHWAYS TO OUR FUTURE offers an in-depth multimedia training program for youth ages 14-18. Students will use materials provided and their own imagination to create projects like an original e-Greeting and a QuickTime movie that they can send via email. They will also learn how to write HTML to produce websites, manipulate photographs to make original art works, write storyboards for video assignments and create desktop publishing projects. Other assignments will involve developing ideas for animation projects and learning about sound editing programs.

To enhance the learning experience, PATHWAYS TO OUR FUTURE offers employment enrichment training, field trips, a guest speaker series and job shadowing activities. Upon completion of the training program, participants gain a real world experience via a community service project or internship placement. Placements are intended to further the participant's development of acquired multimedia skills in a workplace setting.
